Leo Walton | Leadership in a Startup

Leo Walton became part of the founding team at SUPERHOG in 2019, after having spent seven years running the supply function at Onefinestay. 

These experiences have given him a deep understanding of the vacation rental industry. As the VP of Growth, he works closely with operators and hosts, helping them to unlock growth and streamline operations by using SUPERHOG, which combines guest screening with embedded insurance.

Having experience of the property management side, Leo also has an acute understanding of the pain points which SUPERHOG sets out to solve, including guest screening, deposits, chargebacks and property damage. 

His bio says that he is “passionately committed to building tools to help improve and revolutionize the industry”. From chatting to him in this episode I got a sense that he’s also incredibly passionate about innovation, thinking differently and creating an environment that allows everybody and anybody to share their opinions and ideas.

This interview rapidly went off in a totally different direction to the one I had in mind, and is so much richer as a result.
